Vanessa Marzaroli, an Emmy-winning director, seamlessly blends elegant visual textures with a warm, soulful emotional core in her work. Her signature aesthetic is marked by a distinct visual flair for design elements.
With a refined style and contemporary edge, Vanessa has left her creative imprint on a diverse array of projects, including commercial films for prestigious brands like Audi, HP, Visa, and Target. Her music video for Cinematic Orchestra’s “Lilac Wine” garnered widespread acclaim for its delicacy and sophisticated design, earning Vanessa her second Emmy, a London International Gold, a Red Stick International Gold, a Baton D’or, and other notable awards. Collaborating with Robert Hales as an animation director on Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” their work stood out, winning a VMA for “Best Direction” and receiving numerous accolades.
Originally from Thailand, Marzaroli relocated to California in her teens to pursue classical piano training alongside her twin sister. Her journey took a creative turn in high school when she discovered a passion for the visual arts, a passion she has cultivated ever since. Vanessa’s love for photography, fashion, art, and typography is palpable in her body of work.
A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, Marzaroli has been a longstanding collaborator with Mirada and has held the role of Creative Director at esteemed production companies such as Logan, Blind, and Motion Theory. Her contributions have been recognized by prestigious awards including the AICP Awards, Art Directors Club, D&AD, The Type Directors Club, BDA, Prix Arts, and Cannes Film Festival.
